Plein Air Painting facilitated by artist Ryan Kish
Save the date to join us on Friday, August 7th for a plein air painting session led by Maine-based artist Ryan Kish. These sessions are a chance to work outside on Surf Point's grounds, drawing inspiration from the coastline, fields, gardens, wooded trails, and architecture. Each session will be facilitated by a local artist, with open work time followed by optional sharing of work at the end of the session. Participants are asked to bring their own painting supplies and materials.

About the artist
Ryan Kish
Ryan Kish (b. Portsmouth NH, 1983) is a painter whose practice is firmly rooted in plein air painting and direct observation of life. He holds an MFA from Tufts University/ School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston and was a recent participant in the Turps Studio Programme in London, UK from 2021-23. He has exhibited his work in New York, New England, and in Europe. He currently lives and works in midcoast Maine.
